My background sits at an unusual crossroads: fourteen years of dance training, several years in the corporate world, and a background in cultural studies, specifically the history of the body. That combination shapes how I teach — I care as much about the why behind a movement as the movement itself.
Dance gave me technique and control. Corporate life gave me deadlines and a mental noise that slowly pulled me from my own body — until I barely noticed it.
